The critical façade inspection is to evaluate the present condition of the exterior façade and areas cited by the City of Chicago's Building Department on 820 West Belle Plaine Avenue. The critical façade inspection is broken in to 16 bays - 5 each on North and South facades, and 3 each on East and West facades. The inspection consisted of a close-up visual inspection of all the facades of the building from a scaffold. This included not only the physical close-up visual inspection from a scaffold but technician inspection of all areas required by the City of Chicago, Department of Buildings "Maintenance of Exterior Walls and Enclosures Ordinance" as well. The purpose of this study is to determine the existing conditions, notation of recent repairs or remedial work completed, notation of minor deficient items in need of future attention, and to provide a documented summary of the results of our examination.
