|
Method 1. For exporting an AutoCAD document please use the following procedure - 1. Select Express from the menu bar and select File Tools, Select the feature Pack 'n' Go. This utility saves not only the drawing but font, plotter configuration and other preferences as well. 2. Select all file names in Pack & Go and hit Copy To at the bottom of the menu. Select a destination (for eg. S:// Project Files/####/ Expt, where #### is the project folder number and Expt is the sub-folder export) and hit Copy. All the files will be stored in its destination directory. This folder can be then zipped and e-mailed as an attachment. Zip files must always be stored in the sub-folder Zips under the project folder. Method 2. AutoCAD file whose final output is on a letter/ tabloid sheet can also be saved as *.pdf document. This method is the best when 'requesting person' do not have an access to AutoCAD. pdf documents are saved as an image with exact line weight. If the 'requesting person' does not have a pdf viewer (i.e Acrobat Reader), ask them to download it for free from www.adobe.com. GNR uses pdf documents for all its presentation drawings which are saved at S://Project Files/0000/GNR Presentation Drawings/ 1. In AutoCAD, select File - Plot - Plotter Configuration. From list at the right, select - Adobe Distiller.pc3. Hit OK. Now, browse to the desired folder and save the file with an appropriate name. 2. The file will be saved as *.pdf , where * is the name of the file.
